In the News: Vertical Motion

This post showcases the media coverage of our client Vertical Motion.
It is updated whenever new media coverage is released.

Clutch, the B2B Research and Reviews site dedicated to finding firms that deliver, named Vertical Motion as one of the Top Mobile Developers in Canada in 2015! Here is how Clutch made their selections:

“These Canadian app developers range in agency size, vary in focus, and can be found from locations on the Pacific all the way to the Atlantic. However, these agencies and the skilled development teams behind them have all demonstrated a commitment to meeting their clients’ app development objectives,” explained Ryan Stevens, Lead App Development Analyst at Clutch. “One of the resounding factors from every company’s client references was the importance that the development company was local to Canada.”

Vertical Motion was featured in the Technology section of the Calgary Herald on February 25, 2015. The article, which appeared in both the online and print versions of the newspaper, featured an interview with Jason Jones. Here is an excerpt from the article:

“The mobile boom has had parallels to the web boom — there’s a rush to ‘get an app’ the same way businesses were rushing to put their business online around the turn of the century,” said Jones. “But sometimes, clients don’t consider why they need an app, and more importantly, why a user would bother to download or keep it on their phone.

“Sometimes a thoughtfully considered, mobile-friendly web application is the way to go, sometimes it’s a native app, and sometimes it’s in between. It all depends.”

Thank you to the Calgary Herald, and Ted Kritsonis for featuring Vertical Motion!

The president of Vertical Motion, Jason Jones, was one of entrepreneurs featured by Capital Ideas Calgary in the Calgary Herald on October 30, 2014. Jason answered the question, “What have you done to put your business in a position to grow?” See part of Jason’s response below:

“A founder has their finger in every pie, and their hand in every project, but the leader of a team will become a bottleneck if they don’t learn to delegate and trust.”

Thank you Capital Ideas for including Jason!

Jason Jones was also featured on, a site created to share knowledge among entrepreneurs. Jason is a passionate entrepreneur who is always willing to share business insight with others. Here is an excerpt from his interview:

Be kind and thoughtful. The business world today can be hard on people, making it more important than ever to be nice, polite, pleasant and thoughtful when interacting with others. When fellow entrepreneurs come to you for help to accomplish their dreams with their idea on a napkin and their heart on their sleeve, think about how you treat them.

In February of 2014, Vertical Motion launched eTrove, an appreciation platform driving referrals, retention and revenue for the dental, orthodontic and optometry markets. eTrove’s launch was mentioned in several niche publications, including Oral Health Office. View the article here.
