aclaro was the subject of this press release from the CSI Calgary about the generous donation the company gave to the institute in Gilmore Junio’s name as a result of Sportsnet960’s #GiveitupforGil initiative.
June 17th, 2014 – Calgary, AB – It seems like yesterday that Gilmore Junio volunteered to step aside from the 1000m race at the Sochi Olympic Winter Games to allow teammate Denny Morrison to win a silver medal for Canada. But it has been 18 weeks, exactly to this day, since that moment made him a national hero.
As a result of his selfless act, the #GiveitupforGilmore campaign was initiated by Sportnet960 who wanted to get the city involved to celebrate and reward him for his decision. Listeners were encouraged to donate items to give Gilmore Junio as a thank you for his generous gesture.

May 27th, 2014 – CALGARY, AB – Over 40 members of corporate Calgary along with some of Canada’s best athletes gathered in downtown Calgary this morning for the launch of the Canadian Sport Institute Calgary Elite Athlete Work Experience Program (EAWEP).
The EAWEP, a first of its kind in Canada, aims to provide opportunities for companies to hire qualified employees while providing Canada’s elite athletes with valuable and flexible work experience.
